About the role

The Technical Sage X3 ERP Specialist leads the technical optimization, development, and support of Naterra's Sage X3 environment, which sits at the center of our finance, distribution, and warehousing operations. You will focus on system architecture, database management, and custom development — building the screens, scripts, integrations, and reports that keep the business running and connect Sage X3 to our broader data stack. A strong functional understanding of warehousing, distribution, and demand planning workflows is highly desirable to bridge technical solutions with real-world logistics. This role is a key contributor partnering closely with our internal systems administrator and the Data & Analytics team. Position fully in-office, M–F.

What you'll do
  • Development & Customization: Build custom screens, action triggers, visual processes, and workflows tailored to Naterra's finance, distribution, and manufacturing needs.
  • Systems Integration: Design, test, and maintain robust REST API, SOAP web service, and EDI integrations connecting Sage X3 with external logistics platforms, retail partners, and Naterra's data platforms.
  • Database & Reporting: Optimize SQL Server performance, manage data migrations and import templates, and build complex reports using Crystal Reports or SEI; support extraction of ERP data into the data and BI platforms.
  • System Administration: Manage Sage X3 patches, upgrades, dossier/folder management, endpoints, Syracuse and runtime components, user permissions, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Functional Alignment: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (supply chain, finance, operations, data and IT teams) to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Qualifications Key Requirements
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated technical experience administering, customizing, and supporting Sage X3.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in Sage X3, SQL Server management, and relational database architecture.
  • Domain Knowledge: Solid functional understanding of Sage X3 Stock, Sales, Purchasing, Warehousing (WMS integrations), and Demand Planning modules; familiarity with GESxxx functions and core entities (e.g., BPCUSTOMER, ITMMASTER, SORDER).
  • Integration Skills: Hands‑on experience with REST/SOAP web services, EDI, and connecting ERP data to downstream analytics platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication, and the capacity to translate business needs into technical designs.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in a CPG, consumer goods, or manufacturing environment with a July–June fiscal calendar.
  • Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks/Snowflake and BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau.
  • Familiarity with demand planning tools that integrate with Sage X3.
