Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the VP of Sales, the title is responsible for driving MiLa's retail growth by expanding distribution, increasing velocity, and managing key grocery accounts. This role builds strong relationships with buyers and brokers, leads account strategy and promotions, and uses retail data and cross-functional collaboration to deliver revenue growth and expand shelf presence.
This role will own and accelerate MiLa's national retail expansion, helping scale the brand from emerging frozen disruptor to a nationally distributed category leader. The National Account Manager will play a key role in unlocking new distribution, launching new items, and driving category growth across major grocery retailers.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow MiLa's presence across key national and regional grocery retailers, driving distribution, velocity, and revenue growth in Chinese foods
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with retail buyers, category managers, and broker partners to expand MiLa's presence in stores
  • Own business planning and execution for assigned accounts, including forecasting, assortment strategy, promotional planning, and shelving objectives
  • Identify opportunities for distribution expansion, new item authorizations, and category growth across key retailers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure successful customer execution
  • Analyze retail performance using syndicated data sources such as SPINS, Nielsen, or IRI to inform strategy and provide actionable insights
  • Track customer activity, item setup, and account documentation
  • Represent MiLa at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and broker events to build brand visibility and strengthen partnerships
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify opportunities for MiLa within the frozen and Asian food categories
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong understanding of retail sales strategy, category management, and driving distribution growth
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple customer priorities simultaneously

Education & Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in CPG sales within the food or frozen category, with a strong track record managing national or regional retail accounts
  • Experience working with major grocery retailers and managing broker relationships
  • Experience analyzing syndicated data (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, or similar) to drive insights and business decisions

Compensation
  • Base salary of $120k-$150k (DOE) plus performance-based annual bonus
