Job description

Safety Director - Job Description:
โ€ข Recruit new potential drivers through various job sites (Indeed, Paycor Recruiting, etc.).
โ€ข Interview potential drivers that are qualified with previous experience (3 years CDL and 2 years "P" endorsement).
โ€ข Complete drug and alcohol tests on new drivers and random drivers from random consortium, per DOT guidelines.
โ€ข Perform road tests on new potential drivers and as needed for driver training.
โ€ข Complete orientations for new drivers and prepare driver qualification files per DOT guidelines.
โ€ข Review logs for accuracy and record start and end times on ELD log sheet.
โ€ข Conduct one-on-one meetings with drivers that need additional training on logs, safety practices, or our โ€˜Pillars of Successโ€™ guidelines
โ€ข Random spot checks for proper pre-trip and post-trip procedures.
โ€ข Complete quarterly safety inspections of all vehicles. (Triangles, fire extinguisher, safety window stickers, and safety videos)
โ€ข Review cameras if needed for safety concerns*.
โ€ข Complete any incident paperwork, when necessary, from accidents. Investigate cause and correction. Report to Lancer insurance if required.
โ€ข Provide video content on weekly basis for every driver to review and complete feedback.
โ€ข Keep drivers focused on our โ€œEvery BODY is Counting on Meโ€ and โ€œI Always Drive Safelyโ€ mottos.
