Job description

MRI Technologist

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3X12 shifts, with varied shifts. Call is required.

Job Description: The MRI Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic MRI scans, assisting the radiologist and referring physicians in MRI procedures, and ensuring quality patient care while upholding the standards of the organization. This position operates various MRI scanning equipment and performs technical procedures that provide optimal image quality, all while maintaining a high standard of patient service.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist in MRI procedures and collaborate with radiologists and physicians.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MRI physics to operate equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and data management within hospital systems.
  • Adapt to department needs, including potential floating and call requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • ARRT certification in MRI required.
  • BLS certification (AHA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience with either GE or Philips scanners.
