Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Details & Qualifications
  • Current Property & Casualty license required
  • Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines customer service experience within an agency
  • FullTime: 37.5 hours per week
  • Office Hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills:
    • Word and Outlook required
    • Strong typing skills required
    • Excel knowledge a plus
  • Experience with AMS360 and proposal systems preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with carrier portals such as Accident Fund, Acuity, AutoOwners, Chubb, Conifer, Hanover/Citizens, Hastings, Fremont, Frankenmuth, Michigan Millers, Pioneer, Progressive, Safeco, Travelers is a plus, but not required
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workflow and priorities to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal team members
  • Respond promptly to incoming client inquiries via phone, email, and mail
  • Issue and process binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documents
  • Prepare insurance summaries, schedules, and proposals as needed
  • Coordinate renewal processing with Account Executives according to agency procedures
  • Review policies, endorsements, and audits for accuracy and request corrections when necessary
  • Invoice and follow agency collection procedures to support timely payments
  • Process cancellations and work to retain accounts when possible; notify Sales/Account Executives as appropriate
  • Assist clients with first notice of loss and follow up on claims activity per agency guidelines
  • Support marketing and placement of renewal accounts
  • Communicate with carriers and respond to correspondence in a timely manner
  • Participate in continuing education and training as requested by agency management
