Job description

Travel Nationwide. Build Specialized Technical Skills. Deploy Technology That Matters.

Prime Connected is hiring a Field Deployment Specialist to support the nationwide deployment of advanced medical technology inside hospitals and healthcare facilities across the United States.

This isn't a traditional local low voltage role. Our Field Deployment Specialists travel from project to project, working alongside experienced teams to install, activate, and validate technology used in complex healthcare environments.

If you have low voltage or structured cabling experience, enjoy fast-paced project work, and want to build technical skills beyond traditional cabling, this could be the next step in your career.

About Prime Connected

Prime Connected is a Midwest-based technology deployment company with a national footprint and more than 25 years of experience supporting healthcare organizations.

Our teams deploy patient monitoring platforms, nurse call systems, AI-enabled healthcare devices, Real-Time Location Services (RTLS), and other emerging medical technologies. We partner with technology manufacturers and healthcare organizations to bring complex systems from planning through full-scale deployment.

What You'll Do

As a Field Deployment Specialist, you'll travel nationwide to support healthcare technology installations inside active hospital environments. Projects move quickly and require technicians who can learn new systems, follow detailed processes, and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Depending on the project, you may install and activate wireless devices, deploy RTLS tracking technology, tag and document medical equipment, validate device information through mobile applications, review floor plans, and confirm equipment placement throughout a facility.

You'll work closely with project leadership and other field technicians to keep deployments moving efficiently. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and solve problems in the field are critical to success.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with experience in low voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, technology installation, or a similar hands-on technical environment.

You don't need to be an expert in healthcare technology or RTLS. You do need a strong technical foundation, the ability to learn quickly, and the discipline to follow detailed installation processes.

Our strongest Field Deployment Specialists are organized, dependable, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments. They communicate clearly, take ownership of their work, and understand the importance of professionalism while working inside hospitals and alongside customers.

This is a 95-100% nationwide travel position. You must be comfortable traveling from project to project across the United States.

What You'll Bring

Previous low voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, or technical installation experience is strongly preferred. Experience with category cable, fiber optics, wireless devices, floor plans, or mobile-based installation platforms is a plus.

A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to read and understand technical instructions in English, distinguish cable and device colors, and meet healthcare facility access requirements.

Why Prime Connected?

At Prime Connected, you won't spend every day doing the same installation in the same environment.

You'll travel, work with emerging healthcare technology, and gain exposure to national deployments while building specialized technical skills that can create long-term career opportunities.

We invest in people who want to learn, take ownership, and grow.
