Overview
Full-Time
8:00AM TO 5:00PM
Location: 600 East Dixie Ave Leesburg, Florida 34748
Responsible for cleaning, disinfection, inspection, distribution, retrieval, and inventory management of assigned mobile medical equipment. Ensures equipment is safe, clean, available for patient use, and maintained at established par levels throughout the hospital and FSEDs while supporting Clinical Engineering operations.
Responsibilities
  • Performs cleaning and disinfection of assigned mobile medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer IFU, infection prevention standards, and hospital policies
  • Performs routine rounds to collect dirty equipment from soiled utility rooms
  • Performs basic operational inspections to verify equipment readiness
  • Removes damaged or malfunctioning equipment from service
  • Maintains charging stations and designated equipment storage areas
  • Delivers equipment to clinical departments and maintains par level of equipment
  • Verifies preventive maintenance status and transports equipment requiring schedule maintenance to Clinical Engineering
  • Verifies RTLS location tags are active, replace batteries if necessary
  • Assists Biomedical Technicians as needed and performs other duties as assigned
  • Assists in finding medical equipment due for PM on the "unable to locate" list
  • Assists in equipment recalls and urgent equipment deployment

Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Prior hospital experience with medical equipment handling, Central Supply or Sterile Processing, Environmental Services, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • 1 year of work experience, including one or more of the following: inventory, stocking, materials handling, hospital and/or health related skills.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in operation of a computer.
