Overview

CTG is seeking a highly motivated RPA Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions that streamline healthcare operations, improve efficiency, and enhance patient and provider experiences. The RPA Engineer will work closely with clinical, revenue cycle, operational, and IT stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation across healthcare and administrative workflows.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain RPA solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, or similar technologies.
  • Create attended and unattended bots to automate repetitive, rule-based processes.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, clinical stakeholders, and project managers to gather requirements and document automation solutions.
  • Integrate RPA solutions with healthcare applications including EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, claims systems, scheduling platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Develop reusable automation components, frameworks, and coding standards.
  • Conduct unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
  • Monitor bot performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain automation documentation including process design documents, technical specifications, support procedures, and change management records.
  • Ensure automations comply with HIPAA, organizational security standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through process mining, workflow optimization, and automation analytics.
  • Participate in automation governance and Center of Excellence (CoE) activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and supporting RPA solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more RPA platforms:
    • UiPath
    • Microsoft Power Automate
    • Automation Anywhere
    • Blue Prism
  • Experience with process analysis, workflow mapping, and automation design.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations.
  • Experience with SQL and data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a healthcare provider, payer, or healthcare technology organization.
  • Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athenahealth, or other healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management processes.
  • Experience with OCR, AI/ML, intelligent document processing, or process mining solutions.
  • UiPath, Power Platform, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism certifications.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or cloud-based automation solutions.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
