Description: Routing Coordinator - Transportation
Job Summary: The Routing Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing safe and efficient transportation routes while managing day-to-day office operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Transportation, this role ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations, supervises office personnel, and steps on to operate a school bus as needed.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in transportation logistics, routing, or dispatching. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an office setting. Must posses a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement. Must maintain a clean driving record and pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening. School Bus Driver Instructor certification is a plus.
Working Conditions: Frequent sitting, typing, and utilizing phones/radios. Ability to sit for extended periods, operate a heavy vehicle, and safely assist students in an emergency. Willingness to work split shifts or extended hours during peak season (e.g., the start of the school year) or during inclement weather.
