Job description

The Room Service Server is responsible for providing hotel guests with an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience that exceeds their expectations, which includes setting up and bussing room service carts and trays, presentation of room service delivery in guests' rooms, and assisting with incoming room service calls if needed. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. FAMILIARIZATION
1. Report to work station as scheduled and on time.
2. Complete the shift and check schedule for next shift.

B. SIDEWORK
1. Fold napkins.
2. Prep kitchen items.
3. Set room service station.
4. Set condiment station and maintain cleanliness.
5. Set room service carts and trays.
6. Clean and re-stock room service station at end of shift.

C. GENERAL SERVICE SKILLS
1. Lift and carry trays onto cart and load hot boxes.
2. Set room service carts and trays following department specs and standards.
3. Assist with bussing room service trays from hallway upon return.
4. Assist guest with any requests by notifying shift manager of additional needs.
5. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
6. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
7. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
8. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
9. Attend all necessary meetings.
10. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
3. Ability to communicate in English.
4. Must be able to work in a fast pace, busy and noisy environment.
5. Six (6) months previous food and beverage experience in an upscale outlet. Position requires the ability to perform wait and server standards within a specific time frame.
6. Excellent guest relation skills and an ability to be attentive and anticipate all guest needs are necessary.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
3. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

1. Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the Casino for a lengthy period of time - up to six (6) hours.
2. Must be able to carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
3. Must have the ability to work indoors.
4. Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community if all situations.

1. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Seneca Nation license.
2. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
3. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
4. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
