Job Description:
Overview
The International Buyer is responsible for coordinating and managing strategic purchasing plans and international logistics in support of the Rogue Fitness business plan.
This role is onsite at the Rogue campus in Columbus, OH, and reports to the Director of Supply Chain. Remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships and manage supply chains across a network of international and domestic suppliers
  • Issue new purchase orders and adjust open orders in response to demand variability to stay within stocking parameters
  • Create and maintain SKU
  • Troubleshoot invoice, pricing, and delivery-related issues
  • Monitor potential stockouts caused by delivery delays and take action to ensure product availability
  • Conduct financial analysis to meet and exceed cost-control targets
  • Leverage data analytics and AI-powered tools to forecast demand, identify cost-saving opportunities, and inform purchasing decisions
  • Maintain an understanding of the market forces driving product lines, costs, and supply availability
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external parties under tight deadlines
  • Communicate and coordinate with NVOs (non-vessel operators) and track inbound container shipments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing, MRP, Procurement, Commodity Management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing commodities
  • Proficiency in data analytics, with the ability to interpret data sets and translate insights into actionable purchasing strategies
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and a willingness to adopt emerging technologies to improve forecasting, efficiency, and decision-making
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, along with proven negotiating and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to solve problems and resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Positive, detail-oriented, organized, and team-oriented self-starter who can prioritize and multitask across multiple time zones while consistently meeting deadlines
