Summary
We are seeking friendly, detail-oriented Customer Support/Front Desk team members to help create a positive and seamless experience for guests. This role blends customer service with behind-the-scenes administrative support, including assisting customers in person, by phone, and online; helping with program registrations and facility reservations; processing refunds and transactions; and keeping customer information and reservation systems accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate is coachable, computer savvy, and enjoys being part of a team. If you take pride in helping others, staying organized, and contributing to smooth daily operations in a busy recreation environment, we encourage you to apply.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from high school or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • One (1) or more years of customer service experience in an office setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • The ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to effectively use computer software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to provide friendly customer service.
  • Previous experience operating multiple phone lines.

Available Schedules:
  • Hours will vary based on operational needs and individual availability.
    • Rogue X hours of operation: 6:00 AM - 8:30 PM, 7-days a week
    • This position will work up to 24 hours per week and requires evening and weekend availability.
Compensation & Information on Benefits
The anticipated hiring range for the Administrative Support Assistant position is $15.05(first step) to $15.80or $16.59(second or third step).The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, andqualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.

  • Responds to requests for information from the general public, internal departments, and employees, including calls, correspondences, department surveys, distributes mail and other clerical tasks.
  • Assists customers with program registrations and facility reservations.
