To thrive as a Rocket League Coach, you need a deep understanding of Rocket League gameplay, advanced strategies, and experience coaching teams or individual players at a competitive level. Familiarity with coaching platforms, gameplay analysis software (such as Discord, OBS, and replay tools), and relevant esports certifications (like Esports Coaching certifications) is highly valued. Strong communication, motivational, and conflict-resolution skills are essential for guiding players and fostering teamwork. These abilities are crucial for improving player performance, building successful teams, and achieving competitive results in the fast-evolving world of esports.
As a Rocket League Coach, your typical day involves analyzing gameplay footage to identify improvement areas, developing practice schedules, and running individual or team training sessions. You will provide real-time feedback during scrimmages, review strategies, and help players prepare for upcoming tournaments. Regular communication with players, team managers, and sometimes parents (for youth teams) is an important aspect of the role. Additionally, you may help with recruiting new talent, tracking player progress, and staying up to date with the latest meta and competitive trends. This role is dynamic and rewarding, especially for those passionate about teaching and advancing in the esports industry.
A Rocket League Coach helps players and teams improve their skills, strategies, and overall gameplay. They analyze replays, provide constructive feedback, and develop training routines to enhance mechanical abilities and teamwork. Coaches also focus on mental aspects such as game sense, decision-making, and communication. Whether working with casual players or professional teams, their goal is to maximize player potential and achieve competitive success.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide esports enrichment services for K–12 students.
This is a potential independent contractor assignment, not an employee position. Contractors may choose whether to apply for, accept, decline, or ignore available opportunities.
Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, available games, technology, equipment, competitive goals, and program objectives.

• Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate esports sessions;
• Introduce students to teamwork, communication, strategy, digital citizenship, and healthy competitive gaming through structured instruction and gameplay;
• Adapt instruction based on student experience levels, site requirements, available technology, approved games, and program objectives;
• Support students in developing game knowledge, teamwork, communication, leadership, decision-making, and competitive skills through practices, scrimmages, reviews, and tournaments, where applicable;
• Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and age-appropriate learning environment;
• Communicate assignment-related needs or significant concerns with Concorde and school staff, as appropriate;
• Complete a brief session completion form after each scheduled session; and
• Follow applicable site safety, visitor, technology, emergency, student-protection, and acceptable-use procedures.
EXAMPLE PROGRAM TOPICS

• Competitive play using school-approved titles such as Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, Apex Legends, or other age-appropriate games approved by the assignment.
Specific games, leagues, technology platforms, instructional activities, and competition expectations vary by assignment.

Purchases requiring reimbursement must be approved in writing by Concorde before they are incurred.
COMPENSATION
Compensation varies by assignment and agreed contractor terms. Many opportunities pay $50+ per completed instructional service hour with students.
Contractors may propose their desired compensation rate when applying. When proposing a rate, contractors should consider the overall assignment scope, including anticipated preparation, planning, commute, materials, schedule, and other business considerations.
Concorde may accept the proposed rate, decline the application, or provide a counteroffer based on the budget for the specific assignment.
Unless otherwise approved in writing, compensation is based on completed instructional service hours with students.
Payment for completed services is generally made by direct deposit on the fifteenth day of the month following the month in which services were completed, unless otherwise stated in the accepted assignment terms or required by applicable law.

Potential assignments are subject to assignment fit, agreed compensation, completion of required onboarding, applicable background-check review, Fair Chance or pre-adverse action procedures where required, site-specific clearance requirements, and final written confirmation from Concorde Education.
Some assignments may require background-check authorization, fingerprinting, agency clearance, site-specific documentation, identification badges, technology training, or other compliance steps before services may begin.
Applicants should not provide criminal-history information unless and until requested through the appropriate legally compliant process.
