Must have valid BCI, FBI, CPR, First Aid for Coaches, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Training, Mental Health, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (Lindsay's Law) and a Pupil Activity Permit on file with HR/Personnel Office PRIOR to student contact.
A BCI background check (fingerprinting - $25.00)
An FBI background check (fingerprinting - $30.00)

General Description:
Responsible for coaching, character development, discipline, skill development and providing direction to student athletes.
Qualifications:
1. Act as a proper role model for staff and students both in the school and outside the District.
2. Possess a positive coaching philosophy and excellent communication and organizational skills.
3. Previous high school coaching experience preferred.
Performance Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
1. Possess all required coaching credentials.
2. Follow and uphold the policies and procedures of North Ridgeville City Schools.
3. Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social and emotional development of students.
4. Consult with the Athletic Director regarding any off-season training programs, including scheduling dates for camps/practices, uniform fitting/inventory, pre-post tryout information, parent meetings, post season awards, and facility use.
5. Ensure that team rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of the athletes are clearly communicated and followed.
6. Plan, organize, advertise and conduct tryouts when applicable.
7. Plan, organize and direct the operations of the program, in conjunction with the Athletic Department.
8. Instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team development.
9. Work directly with the school athletic trainer in reporting injuries, teaching precautions and procedures to ensure staff/student safety and help students prevent injuries.
10. Model good sportsmanship behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards the opposing team, fans, officials, spectators and community.
11. Create a proactive plan in conjunction with the Athletic Department for student-athletes who wish to further their athletic and academic career beyond high school.
12. Maintain an appropriate relationship with student-athletes, including use of social media and general communication.
13. Attend Conference, County and State meetings.
Minimum Expectations:
1. Develop youth programs/camps.
2. Develop connection to middle school teams when applicable.
3. Create an annual calendar in compliance with OHSAA regulations.
4. Create a professional development plan for coaching staff.
5. Program involvement with Athletic Boosters.
Other Professional Expectations:
Perform other such duties as the Board may direct.
Additional Working Conditions:
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
Occasional interaction with unruly children.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
In addition, the employee shall be free of any substance, prescribed or otherwise, that impairs the employee's work performance or the safety of other while on duty.
Compensation will be $5,175
