Job description

PLC Robotics Technician Position Overview
This position requires an advanced understanding of both mechanical and electrical maintenance. Needs to possess the ability to troubleshoot and resolve intermediate mechanical and electrical problems in an efficient and safe manner throughout the facility.
PLC Robotics Technician Essential Functions
  • Complete mechanical and electrical repairs, make adjustments as needed.
  • Successfully troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery.
  • Ability to complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction, basic machining duties.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into maintenance system.
PLC Robotics Technician Required Experience
  • Proven experience as a PLC robotics technician preferred.
  • Practical experience in the installation, programming, and maintenance of industrial robotic systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
  • Advanced mechanical welding and cutting skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • Good problem-solving skills, safety practices, attention to detail and quality.
  • Advanced workbench and computer skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of AC/DC motor drives, PLC and SLC controllers and motor control circuits.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
  • Ability to lead, train and coordinate with all departments.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
