Job description

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Operations Manager to own and elevate the quality, trust, and operational execution of simulated tests, with a specific focus on driving test quality metrics within TestMart and the Sim organization at large.

This role is split ~60% operational ownership and technical program management and ~40% technical deep dives, quality analysis, and metrics-driven improvements. As a team deeply embedded within the Engineering organization, we believe operational excellence can inform technical improvements to drive scalable impact, and that reflects in this role.

You will complement an already strong operational team by bringing systems thinking, technical depth, and quality rigor; while driving end-to-end accountability for simulation test quality and maintenance pipelines.

This is a hands-on IC role with significant influence across Engineering and Simulation stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Simulation Quality & Trust Ownership

  • Own the simulation maintenance workflow, ensuring tests are reliable, scalable, and production-ready

  • Act as a quality owner within the test program, driving consistency across behaviors and test types

  • Ensure all test deliveries meet defined acceptance criteria and stakeholder expectations

Operational & Program Leadership

  • Drive execution of quality-related key results, including test longevity, kickbacks, scope change workflows, and quality corrections

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and design process improvements that increase throughput, reduce rework, and improve signal quality

  • Operate with a strong bias toward actions, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and pushing initiatives to completion

Technical Depth & System Thinking

  • Perform technical deep dives into simulation and test failures to identify root causes and systemic gaps

  • Apply systems thinking to complex Sim core issues by breaking down large, ambiguous problems into functional dependencies and actionable workstreams

  • Partner with Engineering and Simulation stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate assumptions, and influence technical decisions through data and analysis

Collaboration & Influence

  • Act as a key connector between Operations, Engineering, and Simulation teams by bridging technical details and operational execution

  • Build strong collaborations with customers and stakeholders. Manage expectations and align on priorities

  • Communicate clearly and confidently across audiences, from working-level partners to senior leadership.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of experience in technical operations, product operations, technical program management, or data-driven technical roles requiring regular use of Python and SQL

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives without formal authority

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including navigating ambiguity and competing priorities

  • Working proficiency in both Python & SQL for data analysis, debugging, or automation

  • Ability to independently write and modify scripts and queries to investigate simulation issues, validate assumptions, and drive quality improvements

  • Ability to understand simulation systems and technical architectures well enough to drive meaningful quality improvements

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience defining, tracking, and improving quality metrics

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Bias toward actions and continuous improvement; comfortable taking ownership and driving change

  • Ability to adjust between tactile and strategic, leveraging experience and emotional intelligence to quickly adjust as needed

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting autonomy, ADAS, robotic, or complex simulation systems

  • Experience in vendor management and communications to external partners

  • Familiarity with machine learning data operations, test quality frameworks, or simulation validation workflows

  • Comfort asking hard questions, challenging assumptions, and advocating for quality and rigor
