In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the local management of all project execution activities for US Data Centers. Each day, you will ensure operations are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of the project and provide excellent project delivery for our customers.
The work model for the role is: On-site in Auburn Hills, MI.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Leading the implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for local or regional Project Operations.
  • Handling timelines, vendors, resourcing, budgets and customer relations while overseeing teams of engineering, programming and other project team professionals.
  • Ensuring that the portfolio of projects is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB policies, controls, and requirements.
  • Overseeing and leading the local Project Execution team
  • Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with the management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfillment and approving any project deviations.

Qualifications for the Role:
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in operations/project management.
  • Must have 12 or more years of relevant experience in manufacturing, automation or capital equipment project management.
  • You are passionate about new technologies.
  • Preferred: external or internal certification in Project Management (PMP, or ABB PM or ABB SPM Certification).
  • Candidate must be able to work in the United States without ABB support.
