Job description


Job Title: Robot Technician
Shift: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
Job Summary
Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Supervisor and supported by the Robotics Engineer, the Robotic Technician Level I ensures proper operation and repair of robotic automation in a foundry/casting environment.
Responsibility
  • Provide general ABB robot troubleshooting.
  • Adjust robot positions to meet quality requirements.
  • Replace robot cabling as needed.
  • Perform Preventative maintenance on robot and controller.
  • Perform Preventative maintenance on EOAT's including testing function.
  • Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs through understanding downtime and implementation of preventative solutions for long term success.
  • Observe and practices all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
  • Understands robotic and cell safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Academic/Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 years' Robotic Tech experience in a manufacturing setting.

Required Skills/Experience
  • Prior robot programming experience is required.
  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within plant.
  • Must possess mechanical, electrical and computer.
