What You'll Do:

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well-maintained and that residents' needs are addressed promptly and professionally. Your ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and communicate effectively will contribute to the overall success of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry & Repairs: Perform general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window and door repairs, and ceramic tile repair. Assist with vinyl floor, cove, and wall base installation.
  • General Maintenance: Handle minor electrical, plumbing, appliance, and heating/air issues that do not require a license. Perform painting and other repairs as needed.
  • Property Operations: Assist with daily operations such as work orders, apartment turnovers, and inspections. Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including on-call shifts as required.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of the property.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the property manager and foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, contractors, inspectors, and staff. Provide timely updates and communicate clearly on work orders and maintenance tasks.

What You Bring:
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Understanding of residential construction, home/apartment remodeling, and basic plumbing and electrical systems.
    • Experience in carpentry, painting, drywall, and time management.
    • Ability to provide accurate quotes and complete work on time and within budget.
  • Tools & Transportation: Own personal tools and reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.
  • Qualities: Adaptable, dependable, detail-oriented, and an excellent problem solver.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, climb ladders, work overhead, and stand/walk for long periods.
