What is an RMA Fertility clinic?

An RMA Fertility clinic is a medical facility specializing in reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), and fertility testing. RMA stands for Reproductive Medicine Associates, a network of clinics dedicated to helping individuals and couples overcome infertility. These clinics employ reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, and support staff to provide personalized fertility care. Patients can expect advanced diagnostics, state-of-the-art treatments, and emotional support throughout their fertility journey.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Reproductive Medical Assistant (RMA) in a fertility clinic, and why are they important?

To thrive as an RMA in a fertility clinic, you need a certification as a medical assistant, knowledge of reproductive health, and experience with clinical procedures. Familiarity with electronic medical records, fertility-specific software, and lab equipment is typically required. Compassion, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills help RMAs support patients through emotionally sensitive treatments. These competencies are crucial for ensuring accurate care, maintaining patient trust, and supporting successful fertility outcomes.

About Sesame

Weโ€™re Sesame and weโ€™re building a transformative health care platform that makes it easier and more affordable for all Americans to access high-quality health care. Our all-star team is primed for the journey of re-shaping American health care to put people like you and your family first. Unaffordable, hard-to-navigate health care is what keeps us up at night.

We believe everyone should be able to get high-quality care for a fair price. Thatโ€™s why we work with doctors who share our vision of giving people a better way to get the care they need - without the stress, frustrations, and rip-offs of the current system.

Today, millions of people use Sesame to book quality care at transparent, upfront cash prices - often for less than theyโ€™d pay through insurance. Our subscription programs span weight loss, mental health, and womenโ€™s health, and our fertility partnership with Costco and IVI RMA made high-quality fertility care dramatically more affordable. Weโ€™re also building Open Sesame, AI that helps people figure out what care they need and where to get it at the best price.

Weโ€™re passionate about creating a new kind of health care economy that works for everyday people, and this is just the beginning. Weโ€™re proud to have teams across the U.S. and in Berlin and have raised nearly $100 million in funding to grow U.S. operations.

Want to help? Join our team.

About the Role

Weโ€™re looking for an analytical, relationship-oriented operator - part account manager, part builder - who thrives at the intersection of provider success, operations, and process improvement.

As a Provider Success Senior Account Manager, youโ€™ll own the experience and performance of a portfolio of Sesame clinicians while helping build the systems that allow Provider Success to scale. Youโ€™ll partner closely with Product, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to improve every stage of the provider lifecycleโ€”from onboarding through long-term engagement.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both solving individual provider problems and stepping back to redesign the underlying processes that created them. Weโ€™re a small team supporting a large, fast-growing network of clinicians, so the work is hands-on and the bar is high: we want someone who spots what needs doing and does it โ€” often by building the model, tool, or process themselves, increasingly with the help of AI.

Key Responsibilities

Own and Elevate the Provider Experience

Own the success of a portfolio of Sesame clinicians while continuously improving the operational systems that support them. Youโ€™ll combine relationship management with operational problem-solving to help providers thrive on the platform, improve marketplace performance, and build scalable processes that enable Sesameโ€™s clinician network to grow.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary operational partner or point of contact for a portfolio of providers across onboarding, engagement, and ongoing success.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve provider workflows, support operations, and lifecycle management, partnering with Product on tools like scheduling, no-show handling, document upload, and specialist eConsults.

  • Use provider feedback and operational data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and influence product and process improvements.

  • Drive projects that improve provider activation, engagement, quality, and overall marketplace performance through thoughtful operational design and automation.

  • Run monthly provider performance reviews โ€” tracking metrics like punctuality, clinical-note completion, off-platform calls, refunds, and no-shows โ€” and turn the data into targeted coaching, provider communications, and monthly Activity Summaries.

  • Build and maintain the supply-and-demand models we use to understand clinician coverage by state and service, and translate them into recruiting and search priorities.

  • Onboard and train new clinicians (we add roughly 25 a month) and run provider education, including webinars with partners like Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, and IVI RMA.

  • Stand up the operational backbone for new clinical programs โ€” lab and imaging order flows, referral pathways, partner integrations, and clinical guidance โ€” as we did for our Costco/IVI RMA fertility launch.

  • Use AI and agentic tools (e.g., Claude and Claude Code, Codex, Cowork) to analyze data, build spreadsheets and dashboards, draft provider communications, and automate your own reporting โ€” so a small team can do the work of a much larger one.

Candidate profile
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, operations, consulting, or a similar client-facing role โ€” or experience founding or operating your own venture.

  • Youโ€™ve started something. Whether itโ€™s a company, a nonprofit, or a serious side project, you know what itโ€™s like to operate with no playbook, no one to delegate to, and a โ€œthis needs to get done, so Iโ€™ll do it myselfโ€ attitude.

  • An exceptionally fast learner โ€” you get up to speed on new domains (clinical workflows, a data model, a new tool) quickly and with little hand-holding.

  • Previous experience in consulting and/or healthcare fields preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; comfortable living in spreadsheets and using data to make decisions

  • Ability to develop and standardize operational processes from scratch โ€” youโ€™ve built tools, processes, or businesses where none existed with an eye towards constantly improving efficiency

  • Genuinely fluent with technology โ€” you already use AI and agentic tools (like Claude, Claude Code, Codex, or Cowork) to learn faster and build things yourself, and youโ€™re excited to push that further

  • Ability to work collaboratively and work in a cross-functional capacity

  • Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines

  • You care about making seeing a doctor easier and more wallet-friendly for everyone

What Sesame Offers
  • Target base salary of $100,000โ€“$130,000, plus meaningful early-stage equity and an annual performance bonus.

  • A generous, flexible vacation policy, comprehensive health care coverage options, and benefits

  • A flexible, hybrid-first work environment with teams across the US (New York, Boston) and a strong company culture

  • Significant opportunities for professional growth at a rapidly growing start-up and making a real impact on the future of health care โ€” with unusually high ownership and visibility because the team is small

How to Apply

Send your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience to melissa.azzoparde@sesamecare.com.

In your note, tell us about something youโ€™ve built or a problem you owned end-to-end โ€” and if you used AI or agentic tools to do it, show us how. We look forward to hearing from you!
