The Physician Assistant will work in a dynamic hospital setting that encourages collaboration among physicians, nurses, and specialists. The Physician Assistant will be tasked with an array of responsibilities that ensure quality patient care:

• Conducting detailed initial evaluations for personal injury cases, ensuring a thorough understanding of patient history and symptoms.
• Prescribing appropriate medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), muscle relaxers, and medicated patches to manage pain effectively.
• Ordering MRI and other diagnostic tests as necessary for comprehensive assessment.
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations, expanding access to healthcare for patients unable to visit the facility in person.
• Ordering necessary referrals to physical therapists and specialists, particularly in pain management, to facilitate a multidisciplinary treatment approach.
• Managing and documenting patient medical records in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring data confidentiality and integrity.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans, enhancing overall health outcomes.

To succeed in the role of Physician Assistant at Top Care Health Center, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Possession of a current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both patients and healthcare team members.

While we require a minimum of 2 years of experience, we highly prefer candidates with relevant experience in pain management or similar healthcare settings. Familiarity with specific pain management practices and protocols will enable you to make a more immediate impact on our patient care services.
