Job description

Title: Interior/Exterior Site Specialist

Department: On-Site Construction

Reports to: On-Site Lead

Working Hours & Location: Monday through Friday full-time at various sites within a 60-mile radius of our office.

Designer Homes, a division of Ritz-Craft, is seeking an Interior/Exterior Site Specialist to join our modular finishing team. Each portion of each house is completed by a dedicated crew led by a Lead and supported by one or more team members. The team works together to finish the house after it has been set on the foundation and provides training for new crew members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minor drywall & painting Flooring, flooring transitions & backsplash installation Trim work Perform air sealing throughout the home using foam Insulate the basement & sprinkler pipes Set & adjust doors Assist with electrical work Install light fixtures & ceiling fans Assist with plumbing Perform basic framing and carpentry, including steps, porches, garages, and decks Finish porches, garages, and decks to final completion standards Clear all construction materials and debris from the site and leave the home in a broom-swept condition, ready for final cleaning by the Cleaning Specialist Other tasks as assigned to support home completion Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines & company safety protocols at all times Maintain a clean, organized, & safe job site at all times

Key Expectations:

  • Basic ability to use technology is preferred
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of residential construction work (lifting, standing, bending, carrying materials, & working in weather) with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Proper use & maintenance of basic tools & equipment under supervision
  • Ability to follow standard processes for modular homes & complete assigned tasks as directed by leadership
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a construction site environment
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in residential modular construction

Qualifications:

  • An interest or any experience in construction
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, & ability to independently navigate job sites
  • Computer proficiency
  • Attention to detail, accuracy & communication skills
  • An interest or experience in reading & interpreting construction drawings
  • Opportunity for advancement into skilled trades roles based on performance
