Job Summary

Ritz-Craft is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting homeowners, contractors, and service partners with the installation, repair, maintenance, and warranty-related service needs of our modular homes after construction. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional customer service while representing the Ritz-Craft brand in the field.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide professional service and support to customers during field visits and dispatched service calls.
• Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, and testing of home systems and components.
• Diagnose technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Complete and submit accurate service reports, documentation, and required records.
• Document repair processes, findings, and corrective actions.
• Follow all company service procedures, safety policies, and operational protocols.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, contractors, and internal team members.
• Understand customer concerns and provide appropriate recommendations and explanations.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional, courteous service.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment while traveling to customer locations.
• Ensure all assigned work is completed efficiently and to Ritz-Craft quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of related field service, construction, maintenance, or repair experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing priorities.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• High standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screening requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally more with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights when necessary.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to perform repairs and detailed service work.
• Ability to travel frequently to customer locations and spend extended periods driving.
• Ability to visually inspect work areas, identify defects, and read technical documents and measurements.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, crawlspaces, attics, and under-home areas as required.
