Overview

The Rides Supervisor serves as an intermediary between management and subordinate staff.  Trains, motivates, directs, and coaches staff within all functions of the propertyโ€™s operation. Ensures guestsโ€™ safety on park rides, and provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Responds to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from park guests and employees.
  • Moves throughout entire area of responsibility regularly ensuring strict adherence to all standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with International Ride Trainingโ€™s iROC program and Landryโ€™s guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to management.
  • Creates a positive, team culture will be a priority, enhancing retention rates and fostering a sense of camaraderie among team members.
  • Monitors subordinate employees to ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Reports all Loss Prevention issues to management immediately.  
  • Adheres to all of Landryโ€™s policies, procedures and Code of Conduct and ensure compliance by subordinate employees.

Qualifications

  • Are currently enrolled in or have graduated from a relevant degree program, including: Tourism and Recreation; Previous park operations experience is preferred
  • Are able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 
  • Have working knowledge in writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Are comfortable speaking before groups of guests or employees of organization
  • Are available to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs
  • Can pass pre-employment drug and background screening, per Company policy
