Position Details

Position: E-Scooter Delivery Driver
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

Warehouse Location:
2624 18th Street Tuscaloosa, AL 35401

Shift Available:

  • 7 days week availability needed, 11:00 PM–5:00 AM | Part-Time, 30 hours per week

Please Note: Candidates must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the warehouse. A company van is provided during shifts to perform job duties.

Job Summary

Veo is seeking operations professionals who are passionate about providing riders with an excellent experience by maintaining our vehicles and continually improving fleet operations. As an E-Scooter Delivery Driver, you will locate, swap batteries, and rebalance scooters throughout the city while performing quality checks and minor repairs.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and staying active throughout the shift.

Responsibilities
  • Follow mobile app instructions to complete assigned tasks
  • Drive a company-provided van to locate scooters and swap batteries
  • Rebalance scooters from low-demand to high-demand areas
  • Perform basic repairs and quality checks
  • Respond to on-demand requests to locate and retrieve scooters
  • Maintain accurate task completion through the mobile app
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile applications
  • Ability to lift and move scooters weighing up to 60 lbs without assistance
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of local geography and street layouts
  • Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, delivery, logistics, or operations
  • Ability to work overnight shifts
  • Experience driving cargo vans or delivery vehicles
