Position Summary:
The Instructional Coach serves as a teacher leader and specialist in math, science, reading, writing, or other specialized content area and facilitates professional development related to the school and district's instruction and curriculum goals aligned with demonstrated instructional/professional needs. As a leader and specialist, the employee works with, coaches, and supports other teachers and support staff in identifying, developing, and implementing curriculum, assessment and instructional strategies designed to improve student learning in specific areas. As an instructional coach, the employee may work in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching settings. Instructional coaches share in the responsibility for student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student's readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare.
License Requirement:
Must hold or be able to obtain an Oregon Educator License with endorsement(s) in the specific content area(s).

Job Group: Licensed Wage Placement Table
Salary:
PLEASE NOTE: North Clackamas Schools is negotiating the licensed contract for the 26-27 school year. Below is our Annual Salary Range for the 25-26 school year:
  • Annual Salary Range (2025-2026): $58,788 - $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
  • This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
  • Stipend(s) are pro-rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
  • As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:
    • A stipend of $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
    • A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.

Retirement Contribution:
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. The district contributes the employer portion; there is also a mandatory employee portion. Upon eligibility, which is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position, the employee is required to contribute 6% as their employee portion, via payroll deduction. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
