The Opportunity

The Group Marketing Manager position works out of our Austin, TX or Sylmar, CA location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division.

This is a fully onsite role.

As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats.

This role is responsible for setting the Division strategic direction and tactical implementation of full life-cycle activities for Aveir leadless pacemakers in OUS markets.

What You'll Work On

  • Responsible for creating demand for the Division's product(s) by developing, and through the execution of, the Marketing Plan which includes but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility:

  • Business expansion, competition and positioning, scientific and promotional tool creation, internal communication, external communication and product definition.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary interface for internal and external customers and partners for Aveir leadless pacemakers dedicated to OUS markets.

  • Serve as primary point of coordination between regional marketing teams and global business unit in planning for launches and market development activities.

  • Lead and / or participate on cross-functional team to support organizational goals.

  • Develop and lead staff.

  • Responsible for all people-management activities including but not limited to:

  • Staff development, mentoring, performance management, engagement and recognition, administrative duties.

  • Deliver on assigned goals on time and within budget.

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System.

  • This position is accountable for the following: 1. implementation of strategy, scope, process and programs related to creating demand the Division's products within assigned market segment; 2. providing significant and positive impact to short-term, mid-range and long-term organizational goals; 3. demonstrating continual improvement in product/system development and commercial-related matters; 4. creating a work environment that supports cross-functional team effectiveness; 5. management and development of reporting staff; mentor others as appropriate; Demonstrated appropriate level of leadership experience to lead and influence.

  • Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and / or internationally by any means necessary to support organizational goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree (such as a Master's degree or MBA) is desired;

  • Minimum 8 years of experience with or expose to sales and/or marketing in the following areas: healthcare, medical devices, or medical diagnostics to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.

  • Candidate / incumbent should possess the following: - understanding of the technology and capabilities of the Division's products; - understanding of market and customer dynamics; - understanding of sales processes; - knowledge of regulations and standards affecting medical devices/diagnostics; - ability to develop, rationalize and present strategy; - strong managerial skills relative to time, budget and people; - ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross-functionally; - ability to apply analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills; ability to make decisions where there are competing demands; - ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications, whether verbal, written or in presentations; - ability and aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software; - ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior;

  • Requires high levels of competence, confidence and credibility.

  • Strategic and tactical decisions will be made based upon data the individual provides and/or presents in a management or informal setting.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 - $258,700.00
