HID's Reader Business Unit is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to support the development of the Energy, Utilities & Construction vertical across North America within the Asset and Item Readers segment.

This role focuses on driving growth through a combination of direct customer engagement and partner-led execution, working closely with system integrators, OEMs and solution providers.

Success in this position requires a commercially driven and operationally credible sales professional with experience in Energy, Utilities & Construction environments, and the ability to engage in field-based, safety-critical and infrastructure-heavy use cases.

The RSM will support the execution of the North America go-to-market strategy, build pipeline across priority use cases, and contribute to the development of scalable routes to market across applications such as asset tracking, worker safety, site logistics and infrastructure monitoring.

This role requires a hands-on, execution-focused individual contributor, capable of managing opportunities, supporting partners and converting pipeline into revenue outcomes.

As our Regional Sales Manager, Energy, Utilities and Construction, you'll support HID's success by: 

  • Owning and driving the Energy, Utilities & Construction vertical sales strategy across North America, aligned with overall BU growth objectives.
  • Building, developing and converting a pipeline of opportunities across priority use cases such as asset tracking, worker safety, site logistics and infrastructure visibility.
  • Engaging directly with customers and partners to support solution-driven opportunities and drive deal progression
  • Developing and supporting a partner ecosystem across North America, including system integrators, OEMs and ISVs
  • Contributing to the development of routes to market, supporting both partner-led execution and direct sales activities
  • Managing sales cycles from discovery through to proposal and closure, with support from senior stakeholders where required
  • Maintaining CRM discipline, pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy across all opportunities
  • Working closely with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to support solution positioning and market adoption
  • Monitoring market trends, customer requirements and competitive activity to support ongoing refinement of the vertical approach
  • Representing HID in customer engagements, partnering interactions and industry events within the Energy, Utilities & Construction space.

 

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business is advantageous.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in sales or business development within Energy, Utilities & Construction markets, or related industrial environments
  • Proven track record of driving new business and achieving growth targets in solution-based sales environments
  • Experience with RFID (HF and UHF) and industrial AIDC solutions is a strong advantage
  • Experience selling integrated solutions, combining hardware, software and services into operational workflows
  • Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor, managing opportunities from discovery through to close within a defined vertical
  • Experience working with or supporting partner ecosystems, including system integrators, OEMs and technology partners
  • Experience engaging multiple stakeholders, including operations, engineering, IT and procurement functions
  • Strong understanding of field operations, safety-driven environments or infrastructure-heavy workflows
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing teams
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in evolving and sometimes ambiguous environments.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range does not account for geographic differentials based on the location where the position may be filled. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

The base salary in the United States is $95,000 to $125,000. The OTE is up to $208,000.
