Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description
The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and maintain rewinder and roller machines in a production environment. This role involves performing change-outs, diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out small repairs to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of machinery.
Responsibilities
- Set up rewinder and roller machines according to production specifications and safety standards.
- Operate machines efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining quality requirements.
- Perform machine change-outs, including changing rolls and parts, to support different production runs.
- Check machines regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential issues before they impact production.
- Diagnose mechanical issues on equipment and perform small repairs to minimize downtime.
- Use hand tools and basic electrical knowledge to assist with machine assembly, adjustments, and maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to support machine building and assembly work.
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure proper setup and product dimensions.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area around the machines.
Essential Skills
- At least 2+ years of machine operating experience in a production or warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how machines and components function.
- Hands-on experience using common hand tools for assembly, adjustments, and minor repairs.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for machine setup and material measurements.
- Experience with machine operation, including starting, stopping, monitoring, and adjusting equipment.
- Basic mechanical assembly skills, including building or assembling machine components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings related to machine build and setup.
- Comfort working with or around electrical components, with an electrical

- Reliability and willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shift schedules as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with maintenance of machines is a plus, including routine inspections and preventive tasks.
- Experience with repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment is highly beneficial.
- Experience in machine building or assembly work is an advantage.
- Exposure to electrical systems or controls in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to learn new machinery and processes quickly and apply mechanical knowledge to new equipment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment with active production machinery. The role requires working on 2nd or 3rd shift, with typical hours for 2nd shift from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 3rd shift from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Employees work around rewinder and roller machines, use hand tools and measuring devices, and may handle basic electrical components while adhering to safety protocols. Steel toe footwear is required, supported by an annual steel toe allowance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
