Job description

LAWN FERTILIZATION & PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN LEADING INTO SUPERVISOR & SALES

Lawn Squad is a growing lawn fertilization and pest-control company serving Palm Beach and Broward Counties. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking technician who takes pride in producing healthy, great-looking lawns and providing excellent customer service.

This is a lawn-treatment position—not a mowing or landscaping position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Apply fertilizer, weed control, insecticides, fungicides and nutritional treatments to residential and commercial properties
• Identify common South Florida turf problems, including weeds, insects, disease and irrigation-related stress
• Treat lawns, trees, shrubs and landscape beds according to company programs and product labels
• Accurately measure, mix and apply products
• Complete service reports and document all applications
• Communicate treatment findings and recommendations to customers
• Maintain application equipment and keep the company vehicle clean and organized
• Follow all product-label, company and FDACS safety requirements
• Manage an assigned route efficiently and professionally

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
• Able to work outdoors in South Florida heat and weather
• Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Comfortable operating spray equipment and working with lawn-care products
• Strong attention to detail and customer-service skills
• Smartphone proficiency for routing and service documentation
• Must pass applicable background and driving-record checks

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Lawn fertilization, pest control, landscaping or agricultural application experience
• Knowledge of St. Augustine, Zoysia and Bermuda turf
• Experience identifying weeds, chinch bugs, sod webworms, grubs, fungus and nutrient deficiencies
• FDACS Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance or Commercial Lawn and Ornamental certification

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive compensation based on experience and licensing
• Full-time or part time  consistent work
• Training and opportunities for advancement
• A growing company where strong performance is recognized
• Company-provided products and application equipment

To apply, please send your résumé or a brief description of your lawn-care experience, licenses and availability.
