Job description

Sofidel Tissue is a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, one of the leading manufacturers of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide. We are currently seeking a Rewinder Operator to join our team.
The Rewinder Operator will be responsible for operating paper converting machines and equipment in a safe manner to achieve production goals, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
  • Set up, operate, and adjust paper rewinder equipment to meet production quotas.
  • Maintain a logbook with records of quality control, production, and maintenance issues.
  • Apply customer specifications to ensure finished goods meet requirements.
  • Read and understand production schedules, work orders, manuals, and specifications.
  • Ensure finished products meet Quality Control and Production Department standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following housekeeping rules.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with other operators, maintenance, and production personnel as needed.
  • Review and verify completeness and accuracy of logbook entries and production records.
  • Utilize tools, measuring tape, calculators, and metrology instruments relevant to equipment operation.
  • Identify non-conformities and report issues to the Supervisor.
  • Communicate with Managers, technicians, and other team members to resolve problems and share test results.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Previous experience as a Rewinder Operator preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and production schedules.
  • Basic computer skills.
Work Environment:
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in certain areas.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area.
