Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an HVAC Sheet Metal Detailer for our client, a marine industrial company, to reverse-engineer existing shipboard ductwork using 3D scan data and develop replacement ductwork from routing through manufacturing.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $35.65/hour
Shift: Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
  • Reverse-engineer existing shipboard ductwork using 3D scan data
  • Develop replacement ductwork from routing through manufacturing
  • Perform material take-offs by calculating quantities from customer drawings and other data sources, generating rough nests, and compiling data for procurement
  • Assist with piping, structural, and general material take-offs as workload requires
  • Participate in walkthroughs aboard ships or in the field to review statements of work or verify missing information
  • Provide support to Piping and Structural teams as needed, including reverse-engineering shipboard piping and structural components from 3D scan data

Qualifications
  • Experience with sheet metal detailing/ductwork design
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and 3D scan data
  • Comfort working in an office environment with occasional shipboard/field walkthroughs
  • Experience with AutoCAD MEP
  • Experience with Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino, particularly for structural detailing
