What does a revenue intern do?

A Revenue Intern typically supports the revenue or sales operations team by assisting with data analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks related to revenue generation. Their responsibilities may include tracking sales metrics, preparing financial reports, and helping identify trends to optimize business growth. Interns in this role gain experience in revenue management, learn to work with CRM and analytics tools, and collaborate with various departments such as sales, marketing, and finance.

What are some common challenges revenue interns face when transitioning from academic settings to a corporate revenue team?

Revenue Interns often encounter challenges such as adapting to fast-paced team environments and learning industry-specific tools like CRM software. Unlike academic projects, revenue teams typically juggle multiple priorities, require strict attention to detail in data analysis, and expect clear communication with both internal stakeholders and customers. Building confidence in presenting findings and collaborating cross-functionally can also be new, but these experiences provide valuable exposure to real-world business operations and help interns develop skills for future roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a revenue intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Revenue Intern, you need a solid understanding of finance or business concepts, strong analytical skills, and enrollment in or completion of a relevant degree program. Familiarity with Excel, CRM platforms like Salesforce, and basic financial modeling tools is typically expected. Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and strong communication skills help you collaborate with teams and effectively interpret data. These abilities are essential for supporting revenue operations, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to business growth initiatives.

Looking for more than an internship? At BCM One, you'll gain hands-on experience, work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop skills that will prepare you for your future career.
As a Revenue Operations & CRM Intern, you'll work directly with our CRM Administration and Revenue Operations teams to improve the systems, data, and processes that power our sales organization. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise CRM platforms, revenue operations strategy, data governance, process optimization, and emerging AI-driven business tools.
Work Locations: We are looking for candidates local to the Alpharetta Georgia area who are interested in working a hybrid/remote schedule. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do
  • Support CRM data quality, maintenance, and reporting across Salesforce, HubSpot, and related systems.
  • Partner with the CRM Admin team to document CRM processes, workflows, integrations, and system dependencies.
  • Assist with CRM optimization initiatives, including field cleanup, governance standards, and object reviews across our six CRM platforms.
  • Help test, validate, and troubleshoot CRM integrations and data synchronization activities.
  • Contribute to strategic projects that improve CRM consistency, user experience, reporting accuracy, and sales team productivity.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Rising senior pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and business applications
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Eager to learn new technologies and business processes
  • Interest in Revenue Operations, CRM systems, applied AI and process improvement

What You Will Gain
By the end of your internship, you'll have:
  • Hands-on experience with opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects
  • Opportunities to work with industry-leading technologies and business platforms
  • Mentorship from experienced professionals

What Our Interns Say
"I gained hands-on experience across content marketing, AI, sales enablement, and partner marketing while learning how each contributes to a larger marketing and sales strategy. One of my biggest takeaways was seeing how closely sales and marketing work together and how the strongest strategies are built when both teams align around the customer."
"Throughout my internship, I had the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and build skills that I know will benefit me throughout my career. The experience gave me confidence, practical knowledge, and a deeper understanding of how business teams operate together."

We believe the best learning happens when you're given meaningful work, support from great mentors, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
