Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
Location: Southeastern Idaho Territory.
About Capitol:
Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.
Capitol Distributing is seeking a talented Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is responsible for distribution sales to various convenience stores and other businesses in the Southeastern Idaho territory. The Sales Representative will identify opportunities within their market, establish new customers/accounts, and build relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive in establishing business relationships through excellent communication and customer service. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday with occasional weekends. This position requires frequent driving and traveling.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling products, fielding questions, and resolving customer complaints.
  • Develop and build strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Establishes a portfolio of accounts in the capacity of sole or primary sales point-of-contact.
  • Identifies new accounts and evaluates profitability.
  • Responsible for servicing existing customers and recommending new products and programs.
  • Provides sales presentations and generates sales reports.
  • Assists with merchandising and marketing materials for customers.
  • Attends company and customer events for business networking.
  • Frequently visit customer stores to complete various tasks.
  • Collaborate functionally across various departments.
  • Research and gain knowledge of industry standards.
  • Provide other responsibilities as assigned by company leadership.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of retail sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, equivalent work experience acceptable.
  • Experience managing sales accounts and customers.
  • Experience in grocery or convenience store industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within CRM systems and best practices.
  • The ability to travel up to 50% across the Western United States.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office in the Southeastern Idaho Area.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in technology and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver License with a clean driving record. Company vehicle provided.
