Summary:
 
This position will report directly to the Executive VP of Sales. This position will work with broker sales reps and independently where necessary to drive business and develop new business opportunities with local restaurants, universities, independent retailers within the assigned market.  
 
Essential Duties:  
  • Oversee profit and loss
  • Manage sales territory budget
  • Organize and lead multiple brokers across defined sales region
  • Work with key account and distribution partners 
  • Effectively plan and budget by customer and distributor to achieve 7-12% profit sales growth
  • 80% of all sales calls will be made within the Foodservice segment (restaurants, universities etc...) while 20% will be retail focused (independent supermarkets, etc...)
  • Attain sales volume objectives by working with Regional Sales Manager and Broker making a minimum of 20 sales calls per week
  • Individual will be responsible for travel budget, T&E, etc  They will have their own P&L to manage
  • Individual will work with Director of Marketing on some projects when necessary-all expenditures will need to be signed off  by the Executive VP of Sales

  • The position requires 80%+ travel within the assigned geographic territory
  • Out of the box thinking on sales strategies that align with the companies market sales strategy
  • Technically proficient
  • Understanding of key sales systems
 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or 3-5 year's previous business development experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to details and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
