Job description

Join Adecco in a dynamic, corporate environment located within Dublin, CA. This is an exciting 6–12-month temporary opportunity to work directly with a Fortune 500 company at their Corporate Headquarters. If you have a solid background in inventory management and analysis and are looking to advance your career within a reputable organization, this position is ideally suited for you.

About the Role:

As a Retail Allocation Analyst, you will independently drive projects and provide recommendations to optimize inventory selection through complex analytics to support business needs. You will also be responsible for managing the accurate execution of assortment strategies using allocation system applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and strategize with Merchant partners on business opportunities

  • Identify and conduct high level analytics to support business needs for Seasonal Strategies, New Store Openings, Business Events, and Ad Hoc requests

  • Define and implement allocation approaches that result in an optimal inventory mix to improve the customer experience

  • Participate in field visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities

  • Collaborate with Planning partners to resolve issues that address plan achievement

  • Identify issues impacting inventory plan achievement and develop recommendations for improvement

  • Ensure New Stores achieve opening inventory targets

  • Manage and drive allocation automation to support timely receipt processing

  • Ensure allocation department tools are current and accurate

  • Validate automated allocation approaches

  • Support allocation execution through accurate and timely use of system applications

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred

  • 2+ years equivalent work experience preferred

  • Outlook & Word knowledge required (or equivalent application suite) & PowerPoint preferred

  • Intermediate Excel - Worksheet Formatting/Function- conditional format, V-lookup

  • Retail Math Formulas

  • Retail software experience a plus (JDA or SAP/Oracle)

Additional Details:

  • Work hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Hybrid work model

  • Parking: On-campus parking available.

  • Environment: Business casual dress code.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
