Golf Restaurant Server Assistant / Barback
The Server Assistant role is dedicated to providing quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations and works to create guests for life, by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations and gaining the knowledge to assist guests with any and all needs. This position provides support to guests and associates serving guests throughout the food and beverage organization. Includes assisting servers and bartenders.
Salary for this position: $20.00/hour plus gratuities where applicable. Omni Interlocken Resort reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Part Time Associates at Omni Interlocken Resort are entitled to elect the following benefits: Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits. Additional associate benefits offered include golf privileges, discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, continued education opportunities and more.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
  • Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
  • Communicate with culinary and food and beverage outlet teams regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests communicated to you by guests and guest requests.
  • Alert manager immediately if a member or guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Bussing, running food and clearing tables to assist servers and guests.
  • Station set-up
  • Stock needed supplies in side stands.
  • Barback duties as required by business demands.
  • Get ice supply.
  • Dust all tables to include table legs.
  • Check off and pick-up storeroom supplies.
  • Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver and glassware.
  • Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.
  • Assist servers during meal period.
  • Remove any extra settings.
  • Pour water for guests.
  • Cross train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the resort property.
  • Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a high volume guest facing position.
  • Previous experience in restaurant service preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, Carry, and Place up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand/walk throughout the duration of the shift for up to 8 hours.
  • Excellent communication & guest service skills.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • TIPs alcohol and Food Handlers certification required prior to first shift.
  • Available to work a flexible shift, including weekends and holidays.

This position will be open and posted until filled, with a minimum posting period of three days.
