Job Duties:
  • Assists CFO to manage and conduct internal and external auditing programs to assure records are accurately maintained and established policies and practices are satisfactorily and consistently followed.
  • Assists CFO with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling of general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly committee and board reports.
  • Assist with the annual budget process.
  • Monitor monthly inventories for food, beverage and retail merchandise.
  • Assist with maintaining fixed asset schedules and project accounting.
  • Process and post billings related to banquets, member events and other member activities, as well as making necessary adjustments to member accounts.
  • Prepare and send monthly member statements.
  • Process member payments and prepare bank deposits.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and take action according to established club policies and procedures. Answer member questions regarding monthly statements.
  • Be part of the team managing the club management software, assist with training of other staff, and help with upgrades and enhancements to the program.
  • Process biweekly payroll, including reviewing timesheets, processing tip pool, employee purchases, uploading 401K and FSA transactions, and communicating with HR on other payroll related items.
  • Work with the Membership Department to track and account for incoming and resigning members, as well as other reporting needs.
  • Oversee work being performed by other members of the accounting team.
  • Maintains necessary procedures for the confidentiality of club information and the safe guarding of club assets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university majoring in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three to five years of professional accounting experience.
  • Previous payroll processing experience preferred .
  • Previous experience working in hospitality industry desired.
Job Competencies:
  • High level of ethics and trustworthiness.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, and statistical analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Adobe, etc. required.
  • Knowledge or prior use of Financial and Accounting Software Applications required.
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal and state accounting laws and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work activities required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
