Job description

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support day-to-day recruiting coordination and HR operations in Montgomery, Illinois. This Contract to permanent opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing strong internal support, and helping create a positive experience for candidates and employees. The person in this role will contribute to hiring efforts, onboarding activities, payroll coordination, and process improvement projects while partnering closely with the HR team.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage scheduling for new employee orientation sessions to help create a smooth onboarding experience.
• Partner with HR team members to track candidate pipelines across referrals, external sources, and internal recruiting channels.
• Build relationships with community and local workforce partners to strengthen talent pipelines and expand sourcing resources.
• Provide timely, attentive support to employees, candidates, and other stakeholders through consistent customer service.
• Assist with contingent workforce payroll activities and help maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Contribute to special HR projects focused on improving filing methods and making employee communications more efficient.
• Support onboarding-related tasks such as screening coordination, record maintenance, and follow-up on required hiring documentation.
• Help maintain HR data accuracy and administrative records within HR systems and related tracking tools.• High school diploma required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage administrative tasks accurately.
• Prior experience in a customer service environment.
• Exposure to human resources, recruiting, sourcing, or onboarding activities is preferred.
• Familiarity with HR administration, background checks, HRIS tools, or HR compliance processes is a plus.
