As we continue to grow and strengthen our organization, we are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team. This role is instrumental in supporting key Human Resources functions that drive employee engagement, operational excellence, compliance, and organizational success.

Position Summary

The HR Specialist supports the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR administration, compliance, employee relations, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and HR reporting. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a positive workplace culture while ensuring HR operations are executed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate and lead new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless and engaging employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity within the HRIS system.
  • Manage employee status changes, personnel documentation, and offboarding processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and support employee transition activities.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee files in accordance with company standards.
  • Support payroll administration by validating employee data, timekeeping records, and personnel changes.
  • Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and compliance documentation.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace procedures.
  • Support employee relations matters and investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and employee-focused workplace culture.
  • Assist with employee engagement, wellness, and recognition initiatives.

Benefits & Compensation Administration

  • Support benefits enrollment, employee inquiries, and ongoing benefits administration.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and external vendors as needed.
  • Maintain benefits-related records and documentation.
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking, market research, and related HR projects.

Talent Acquisition & Performance Support

  • Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate scheduling, and initial candidate screening.
  • Support performance review cycles and employee development programs.
  • Assist with training initiatives, learning programs, and workforce development efforts.

HR Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, and compliance data.
  • Ensure accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and personnel systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or HR Specialist capacity.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
