The Senior HR Manager is part of the (Insert Line of Business) senior leadership team, partnering with leaders at multiple levels to develop strategies, set goals, and deliver business results. You'll own the end-to-end employee experience at the site(s), championing a culture of safety, inclusion, and service. This role requires balancing automation with human insight-leveraging technology, AI, and real-time data to enhance decision-making and support transformational initiatives. You'll lead a high-performing HR team, implementing strategies across employee engagement, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. Success demands strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to drive scalable solutions across sites and regions.
The Senior HR Manager is a strategic, high-judgment leader responsible for delivering operational excellence and scalable PXT impact across the most complex sites. They translate enterprise people strategies into site execution, strengthen leadership capability, and drive systemic improvements in culture, performance, and risk.
You will be expected to work onsite at an Amazon facility, ensuring personal connection and hands-on leadership where needed.
Key job responsibilities
- Own and create sustainable HR strategies that drive improvements in attrition, attendance, and engagement while setting clear vision for the HR team. Model, train, and coach behavioral expectations and hold operations and HR teams accountable for timely resolution of concerns and maintaining service excellence.
- Work closely with Business Leader(s) as a strategic partner on all people-related decisions, providing leadership coaching and constructive feedback to enhance their capabilities while collaborating on strategies for equitable hiring, retention, development, and performance optimization to build strong, engaged teams.
- Establish effective partnerships with specialized HR functions, including centers of excellence and shared services (e.g., compensation, staffing, recruiting). Challenge status quo and leverage technology to drive improved performance and employee experiences, scaling solutions across the site, region and beyond.
- Collaborate with site and regional leadership teams to harmonize site-specific priorities in alignment with broader organizational goals, with particular focus on diversity & inclusion, employee experience, and talent management initiatives. Use data-driven insights to inform strategy and measure impact.
- Lead, champion, and ensure follow-through on organizational and operational change initiatives. Remove barriers that impede change adoption, balance automation with human judgment, and respond resourcefully to new demands, priorities, challenges or obstacles. Demonstrate high judgment in decision-making while maintaining strong risk management and compliance standards.
- Drive adoption and optimization of HR technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and employee experience. Lead the HR team in developing digital fluency, leveraging analytics for decision-making, and utilizing AI to streamline processes while maintaining a human-centered approach.

You'll develop and empower your team to leverage innovative HR technologies, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiencies. About the team
Amazon's Fulfillment Centers (FCs) within North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) are fast-paced environments that utilize robotics, scanning machines, and computer systems that track and allow the delivery of millions of items (and smiles) to households daily.
NACF PXT is a talent cultivator where Amazonians gain a depth of experience and expertise nurtured to grow, flourish and thrive in other business lines across Amazon. Our HR Leaders provide strategic and tactical leadership direction, executing our people initiatives, providing internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement in locations with up to 6,000 associates. NACF's PXT teams are flexible, thoughtful, socially responsible, and are always planning for the future.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Experience supporting hourly, front-line, and salaried employee populations
- Experience supporting or leading employee-focused processes including onboarding, benefits, investigations, training or talent management
- 7+ years of human resources leadership or equivalent leadership experience (e.g., operations, customer service, retail, distribution, shipping/logistics, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing)
- Proficiency in HR data analysis, including experience translating metrics into actionable workforce strategies and measurable business outcomes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or MBA
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including roles with expanding scope and responsibility
- Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and compliance requirements
- Experience managing complex employee relations and organizational health initiatives
- Expertise in full-cycle talent management, including strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
- Track record of building and developing high-performing HR and/or Operations teams
- Experience leading successful HR initiatives in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence, communicate effectively, and manage conflict
- Ability to advance technology initiatives, including AI integration and emerging tools, to drive operational excellence
- Experience partnering with, coaching, and guiding senior leaders as a strategic HR business partner
