Responsibilities

At Related, the RCMC team operates at the center of one of the most demanding and high-profile commercial real estate environments in New York City. We are seeking an Expeditor who can confidently navigate complex regulatory challenges, drive resolution strategies, and bring a proactive approach to compliance management across a dynamic Class A portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, accountability, and problem-solving; someone who can seamlessly coordinate between property management, engineering, legal, vendors, and city agencies to keep operations moving efficiently and compliantly.

From navigating DOB and FDNY violations to partnering with engineering, legal, and construction teams, you’ll serve as a key force behind keeping Class A assets compliant, efficient, and inspection-ready at all times.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor, log, and track all violations issued by regulatory agencies (DOB, FDNY, DEP, HPD, etc.) across the portfolio
  • Maintain a centralized violations database with real-time status updates, deadlines, and supporting documentation
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and execute remediation plans in coordination with property management and engineering teams
  • Engage and manage third-party vendors, expediters, and consultants to resolve violations efficiently
  • Work closely with Property Managers, Chief Engineers, Legal, and Construction
  • Ensure all corrective work meets regulatory and Class A building standards
  • Interpret local laws, codes, and compliance requirements applicable to commercial properties
  • Proactively identify potential compliance risks and implement preventative measures
  • Stay current on changes in regulations and communicate impacts to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate inspections, hearings, and re-inspections as required
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation, permits, and certifications to clear violations
  • Provide regular reporting on violation status, aging, trends, and risk exposure
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for remediation-related expenses

Compensation:

$95,000 - $120,000/yr + Discretionary Bonus
