What is residual income?

Residual income refers to money that continues to be earned after the initial effort has been completed. This type of income often comes from investments, rental properties, royalties, or businesses that generate ongoing revenue with minimal daily involvement. It's a popular concept for those seeking financial independence because it allows for continuous earnings without constant active work. Examples include book royalties, dividends from stocks, or rental income from real estate properties.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a residual income specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Residual Income Specialist, you need a solid understanding of financial principles, passive income strategies, and business development, often supported by experience in finance or marketing. Familiarity with CRM software, financial analytics tools, and investment platforms is typically required. Strong networking, communication, and self-motivation skills set top performers apart in this field. These abilities are essential for building sustainable income streams, managing client relationships, and adapting to changing market opportunities.

What are common challenges faced by professionals working in roles focused on building residual income?

Professionals working to build residual income often face the challenge of developing reliable revenue streams that require significant upfront effort or investment. It can take time to establish systems or products (such as rental properties, digital content, or network marketing channels) that generate ongoing income with minimal day-to-day involvement. Additionally, maintaining and scaling these income streams often requires strong self-motivation, adaptability to market changes, and effective time management. Collaborating with others, such as financial advisors or business partners, can also be essential for long-term success.

Job description

Most sales jobs pay you once for the work. This one pays you every month.

SIXPAC gives small businesses one platform to run scheduling, invoicing, memberships, inventory and payments — usually for less than they're paying now. We're building our PAC Partner team, and we're looking for people who know business owners and want to turn those relationships into recurring income.

Straight talk first. This is a 1099 independent contractor role. There's no base salary, no draw and no guarantee. You're paid on what you produce. Plenty of people join and never earn anything because they never start the conversations. We'd rather you know that now.

Here's what's different. Every merchant you sign pays you a commission when they sign — and a residual every single month they keep processing. Sign ten accounts this year and they're still paying you next year. Most sales jobs reset to zero every January. This one doesn't.

What you'd actually do

  • Talk to business owners you already know, or walk into businesses near you
  • Show them SIXPAC — or bring us in, and we'll run the demo while you watch
  • Sign them up, and get paid on the sale and every month after

What we give you

  • Training from day one — product, payments, prospecting, demos, all on demand
  • We run your demos until you're ready to run your own
  • Scripts, marketing materials, your own demo environment and CRM
  • Optional daily team calls and weekly Q&A with leadership
  • Paid incentives on qualified demos, so you're earning before your first account signs
  • A rank system — the more you build, the higher your commission rate goes

Nothing is required. No quota. No set schedule. No mandatory meetings. You decide how much you work and when.

Who does well here
People who already know business owners — BNI, Alignable, chamber and trade group members. Current or former business owners. Anyone who's sold to small businesses before: insurance, payroll, bookkeeping, IT, signage, marketing. Coaches, trainers and gym owners. If you can name ten owners you could call this week, you'll do fine.

Who doesn't
People who need full income this month. People who want a salary and set hours. People with no local business network.

Next step: Apply, and we'll invite you to a live group session where we walk through the whole opportunity and you can ask anything. No pressure, no commitment.

1099 independent contractor position. Commission and performance-based compensation only. No salaried or hourly component. Earnings are not guaranteed and depend entirely on individual performance.
