Overview:
The Residence Manager is responsible for ensuring the residence operates in alignment with each individual's service plan and required supports, while maintaining full compliance with applicable regulations, agency policies, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field (preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) field
  • Experience with medically complex individuals
  • Medical ICF experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations
  • Valid and clean New York State driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and respond to emergencies professionally
  • Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office (preferred)
  • Smartphone required.

Paid Time Off:

What You Will Do:

  • Manage all aspects of a residential program, ensuring the safety, well-being, and personal growth of the individuals supported.
  • Handle high-pressure situations involving behavioral issues and emergencies with professionalism and care.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments, providing updates to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Proactively communicate with families to provide updates on the individuals within the residence.
  • Oversee the training and development of direct care staff, including Assistant Managers, to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Support the recruitment efforts for the house including interviewing and selection of candidates.
  • Create and manage Individual Service Plans (ISP) and ensuring they meet both OPWDD and agency regulations.
  • Oversee the implementation of Behavior Support Plans and strategies.
  • Oversee health and fire safety standards, ensuring adherence to policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor budgets, ensuring fiscal procedures are sound and documented accurately including review and approval of billing services for the individuals.
  • Adhering to OPWDD and agency standards within the residential house and participating in internal and external audits.
  • Manage administrative tasks within the residence including payroll, daily oversight of time/attendance, scheduling and performance evaluations.
