Salary: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00


The McIlveen Family Law Firm is now hiring an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. We are looking for a motivated Attorney with exceptional trial, negotiation, research, and communication skills. The Attorney will develop relationships with clients as they establish legal needs, provide counsel, help them understand their legal options, and represent them in court and negotiations. You will also conduct research, prepare legal documents, and perform other duties to ensure clients receive the best, most cost-effective legal solutions.


To succeed as an Attorney, you should be knowledgeable, attentive, and proactive. You should also be an excellent communicator, negotiator, public speaker, and problem solver.


Above-average compensation: $100,000 - $ 140,000+. This is a salaried position.


Qualifications:


  • Licensed in NC
  • Graduation from an accredited law school
  • Excellent academic record
  • First chair trial experience
  • Family law experience



Job Duties:


  • Advise clients on ongoing litigation or explain legal issues they may be facing or are concerned about.
  • Research the details and evidence in cases, such as police reports, DSS reports, or pleadings previously filed, as well as applicable law.
  • Interpret case law and decisions of other applicable courts. This can involve analyzing the effects of many factors that might have been at play in other cases.
  • Develop case strategies.
  • Prepare pleadings and other documents, such as separation agreements.
  • Appear in court before a judge to orally argue for a client's rights and best interests.
  • Represent family law clients in mediation, hearings, and court. First chair trials.
  • Building relationships with clients based on trust.
  • Negotiate and settle cases.
  • Consult with potential clients.
  • Business development.
  • Meet Billable Hour requirements.
