Job description
The Enterprise Solutions Analyst II focuses on translating business needs into system-level solutions by analyzing, designing, and supporting enterprise applications and integrations. The Analyst II serves as a technical liaison between IT and other departments, providing expertise in system configuration, data flow, and platform performance. The Analyst II collaborates with developers, architects, Enterprise Project Analysts, and security teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. The Analyst II aligns with IT governance to ensure gaps are identified and minimized. This role is essential to driving operational efficiency, supporting innovation, and ensuring that IT systems meet evolving business and member needs.
1) Systems Analysis & Technical Requirements – Analyze and document system-level requirements, configurations, and technical specifications. Collaborate with developers, architects, platform owners, and Enterprise Project Analysts to design scalable solutions that meet business needs and align with enterprise architecture and data standards. Participate in feasibility assessments and ensure alignment with IT strategy and standards. (30%)
2) Platform Ownership & Optimization – Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned platforms and applications. Monitor system performance by reviewing application logs, tracking KPIs, and using monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks or anomalies. Collaborate with developers, QA, and Enterprise Project Analysts when bugs or defects are identified to document requirements for fixes and validate resolution. Proactively recommend and implement improvements to ensure optimal uptime, scalability, and user experience. Partner with vendors and internal teams to manage upgrades, patches, and system lifecycle activities. The Enterprise Solutions Analyst does not lead outage recovery efforts but plays a key role in root cause analysis by gathering evidence, clarifying requirements, and ensuring corrective actions are properly implemented. (20%)
3) Backlog Management & Prioritization – Own and manage the backlog of work for assigned teams, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with strategic objectives. This includes prioritizing work from multiple sources such as project deliverables, bugs/defects, enhancement requests, and research tasks. Collaborate with stakeholders and Enterprise Project Analysts to refine backlog items, support sprint planning, and maintain transparency on progress and dependencies. (15%)
4) Technical Documentation & Support – Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and technical specifications. Collaborate with QA and UAT teams by supporting validation efforts—ensuring system behavior aligns with documented requirements through clarification, defect triage, and requirement traceability. Provide technical guidance to internal teams by clarifying system functionality and advising on system configurations or integrations during solution design or troubleshooting. Ensure documentation is current, accessible, and aligned with IT governance standards. (10%)
5) Data Analysis & Reporting – Utilize SQL and other available scripting tools to extract, analyze, and report on system data. Support data integrity efforts, contribute to data transformation initiatives, and provide insights that inform system enhancements and business decisions. Collaborate with IT data teams, CSO and Data Strategy to ensure accurate and actionable reporting. (10%)
6) Leadership & Continuous Improvement – Provide mentorship and guidance to domain team members. Share best practices, promote consistency in documentation and analysis, and contribute to the development of tools, templates, and methodologies. Act as a backup for the Director, Retail Delivery and/or Manager, Retail Delivery when needed, and support strategic initiatives that enhance IT capabilities and service delivery. (10%)
7) Security, Compliance & Risk Mitigation – Ensure systems comply with internal security policies, data privacy regulations, and IT governance frameworks. Collaborate with Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Risk teams to support audits, identify control gaps, and implement mitigation strategies. Participate in reviews and assessments to ensure system-level compliance, and contribute to the design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions that align with enterprise standards. (5%)
