About the Role:
We are seeking a Director of Product Management to help drive the next phase of Reputation Defender's growth as a senior individual contributor.
This role owns the product vision, strategy, and execution for Reputation Defender's consumer and small business offerings, with a focus on expanding mass-market reach while continuing to strengthen existing reputation management capabilities. The role is accountable for delivering a market-leading product experience that blends automation, trust, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role working closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations, without direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision
- Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap that supports Reputation Defender's expansion into the mass market.
- Identify opportunities to broaden adoption through scalable, self-serve product experiences that complement existing offerings.
- Balance innovation, growth, customer retention, and operational efficiency across consumer and small business segments.
AI-Enabled Product Development
- Own and continue to evolve an AI-enabled reputation enhancement product, including roadmap, use cases, and customer experience.
- Leverage existing reputation scoring and sentiment analysis to deliver actionable insights and guided recommendations.
- Partner closely with engineering to scale AI-driven capabilities that improve automation, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure AI features are practical, customer-focused, and aligned with trust, transparency, and responsible use standards.
Mass-Market Product Leadership
- Design products that succeed in high-volume, self-serve, subscription-based environments.
- Own pricing, packaging, onboarding, activation, and lifecycle optimization for mass-market consumer and SMB audiences.
- Ensure product experiences clearly communicate value and deliver meaningful outcomes quickly.
Customer Experience and Outcomes
- Champion a best-in-class end-to-end product experience, from first interaction through ongoing reputation improvement.
- Use customer research, analytics, and experimentation to continuously refine and improve the product.
- Define and track success metrics tied to customer outcomes, engagement, and business impact.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Act as the primary product owner for the Reputation Defender product area.
- Partner closely with engineering on execution, prioritization, and technical tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with design to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
- Work with marketing on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market readiness.
- Align with sales and operations to support scalable delivery and support models.
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
About you:
Required
- 10 or more years of product management experience, including senior individual contributor roles.
- Proven success owning and scaling mass-market, subscription-based consumer or SMB products.
- Experience delivering products that blend software and services.
- Strong product judgment with a track record of independently driving complex initiatives end to end.
- Deep experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience owning AI-enabled product features in production environments.
- Background in reputation management, trust and safety, SEO, brand monitoring, marketing technology, or adjacent categories.
- Experience working in regulated or high-trust consumer categories such as privacy, security, identity, or fintech.

The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $175,000 and 225,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
