Job Title: K-12 Substitute Teacher
Reports To: Head of School
Job Overview: Crosspoint Christian School is seeking a K-12 Substitute Teacher who is a committed follower of Jesus and passionate about guiding students through a critical season of academic, personal, and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured classroom that challenges students to think critically, grow in independence, and develop a strong foundation for their future.
Gateway OneTeam members will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church's mission: Presenting Hope and Developing People . Key qualifications include possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness and demonstrating a meaningful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local church are essential.
  • Job Status: Non-exempt, Pull-time 9-11 months
  • Location: In-person, Bremerton Campus
  • Salary: $18-$25/hr based on education and experience matrix placement

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS
Planning and Teaching:
  • Use provided prepared lesson plans.
  • Use a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging and safe classroom setting where all students are held to high expectations.
  • Incorporate technology in meaningful ways into instruction and learning.

Grading:
  • Utilize Renweb for inputting all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects promptly, using the grading scale provided by the school.
  • Help maintain an accurate record of grades for each student.
  • Use Microsoft TEAMS Assignments to document homework assignments and to communicate with students.

Classroom Management:
  • Keep an accurate record of all attendance and tardiness for each student.
  • Maintain discipline in the classroom to ensure maximum learning.

Communication:
  • Keep an accurate record of any communications with parents.
  • Advise the administration when availability changes.

Salary Description
