Job Title: Elementary Spanish Specialist, Bremerton Campus

Reports To: Head of School


Job Overview: Crosspoint Christian School is seeking an Elementary Spanish Specialist who is a committed follower of Jesus, called to Christian education, and has experience integrating faith and learning in the classroom.

This position will instruct students about the basic principles of the Spanish language, including vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversation. They engage students in language exercises such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and teach them about Spanish culture.

As a member of the Gateway OneTeam, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission: Presenting Hope and Developing People. Possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness, demonstrating a meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and active involvement in a local body of Christian believers are key qualifications.

  • Job Status: Part-time, 9-11 months
  • Expected Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
  • Work Location: In person, Bremerton campus
  • Exempt Status: Non-exempt
  • Salary Range: $18-$25/hr
  • Hours per week: 6-10 hrs/wk

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Planning and Teaching:

  • Develop a curriculum map for each course taught, ensuring that learning objectives align with WA state graduation requirements.
  • Prepares detailed lesson plans.
  • Uses a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging and safe classroom setting where all students are held to high expectations.
  • Incorporate technology meaningfully into instruction and learning.
  • Always keep an emergency lesson plan and a current substitute folder in case of an unexpected absence

Grading:

  • Utilize RenWeb for inputting all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects promptly, using the grading scale provided by the school.
  • Keeps an accurate record of all grades for each student.
  • Uses Microsoft TEAMS Assignments for documenting all homework assignments and for communication with students.

Communication:

  • Communicates with parents on an “as needed” basis regarding their student’s academic or behavioral status in the class.
  • Returns phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
  • Keeps an accurate record of all communications with parents.
  • Advises the administration as soon as plans to be away from the classroom are being considered.

Meetings and Events:

  • Attends all in-services, department meetings, and school events as scheduled.
  • Coordinates field trips and special events, as needed.
  • Attends student retreats every year, as scheduled by the Administration.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned.

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
