Job description

Job Title: Seasonal Preschool Summer Camp Team Members


Located in Loudoun County, Community Church exists to love people the same way God loves us. We desire to see people experience God, meet friends, make a difference, and become a leader. We see our graduates making a positive impact in every arena of life.


Seasonal Preschool Summer Camp Team Membersare to provide after school care, and supervision for students with the goal of impacting them & their family for Christ.


This position reports directly to the Preschool Director.


Starting pay is commensurate with experience.


Camp Dates: June 8, 2026 - August 14, 2026
Operating Hours: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM (work hours based on program needs)

Key Responsibilities


  • Understand with complete clarity and work to uphold the mission, vision, and values of Community Church.
  • Know and uphold all policies and procedures - employee, parent/student, crisis management, etc.
  • Model Christ-like character, God-dependency, and church attendance/participation for students and parents.
  • Provide proactive care/supervision of students
  • Ensure the safety and security for all students by following all school policies and best practices.
  • Report all injuries and/or serious incidents to the Divisional Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Enthusiastically engage with students during all scheduled daily activities; ensuring all safety precautions are being followed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and other staff members to ensure each student's needs are met as needed.
  • Attend school and student events as required and/or possible.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as directed by your divisional supervisor.
  • Provide class lesson plans as requested by the divisional supervisor.
  • Keep accurate daily classroom attendance.
  • Effectively make use of the school data system (Renweb/Brightwheel) for parents and students providing timely and consistent reporting, conduct, etc.

Education & Experience:


Desired

  • High school diploma
  • Degree in progress
  • CDA Certification
  • CPR/First Aid and/or MAT Certified


Required

  • Be a genuine believer and active follower of Christ.
  • Active Church member.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a camp, childcare, or youth ministry.
  • Have knowledge of the Bible and the ability to lead Bible lessons.
  • Be able to communicate effectively to parents & other staff.
  • A passion for teaching and working with children.
