Position Overview

The Host/Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, coordinating seating arrangements, and maintaining clear communication between guests and restaurant team members. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists to ensure efficient seating.
  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus as needed.
  • Maintain accurate seating charts and monitor table availability.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and seating flow.
  • Answer telephone calls and assist guests with inquiries and reservations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
  • Support overall restaurant operations and assist team members as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
